Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is ready to keep the players that he has with him at the club. Sky Sports quotes the Swede saying that come what may, he wouldn’t be inclined to let go Richard Dunne, Nedum Onuoha and Stephen Ireland.
Eriksson says this about Dunne:
You don’t sell your captain! I know that talks are going on, and I hope that it will be sorted out soon.
What about Onuoha and Ireland? Sven says:
There is not a chance Nedum moves from here. I am counting on him. He is a good player and he is our player. He has come through from the academy and like Ireland we have high hopes for him. Why would we want them to leave?
Now the clubs linked to get these players may well shut up.
