Roy Hodgson might be managing an English club in Fulham but he is looking towards America for salvation. The Kansas City reports that Fulham have signed the American international striker Eddie Johnson from Kansas City Wizards on a three-and-a-half year contract.
Johnson becomes the fifth American to feature in this Fulham squad after Brian McBride, Kasey Keller, Carlos Bocanegra and Clint Dempsey and much depends on how he gels into this struggling Premiership side. Fulham are 19th from bottom in the league but Hodgson seems to be confidently signing players from outside the Premier league this month to boost the side and strengthen it to fight relegation.
The 23-year old Johnson is highly rated in the MLS and eyes will be on him and also on Hodgson. Can Fulham survive the drop with all the signings that have been ushered in the New Year? Or will Fulham still go down to the Championship at the end of the season?
