Luis Fabiano to the English Premiership? If Sky Sports is to believed, then it is highly probable on the cards and as it has been this month, the blue half of Manchester is the most likely destination for the player.
Manchester City are said to be the club that the Brazilian striker is looking forward to joining this month after he publicly confessed that his agents are looking to made a England deal. Fabiano told the Brazilian media:
It would be very difficult to leave Seville. But negotiations to go to England are at an advanced stage, and this is a great opportunity. I am very comfortable in Seville, it is a club and city I like a lot but with this great opportunity I will do what I feel is appropriate.
Sevilla aren’t too eager to let the player go of course since Fabiano has been a consistent goal scorer for the Andalucian side and has already bagged 13 in La Liga so far this season. Yet as for many Brazilian players, Luis Fabiano is in major share owned by his representatives and an investment group (sounds like Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez, doesn’t it?) with Sevilla holding just 35% of the stakes in the player.
So have Man City have finally found a striker that manager Sven-Goran Eriksson so desperately needs? Or is the deal going to be snapped off on the last minute of the negotiations?
