Arsenal have been hit by injuries and manager Arsene Wenger has been pulled down to the bare skeleton of his team. The Frenchman is anticipated to play Ivory Coast defender Kolo Toure against Blackburn Rovers in the English Premier League on Monday night even though th player might have to miss training.
I have not called Kolo yet, but I will try to see if he can take a flight from Accra to London, as Ivory Coast play on Saturday afternoon. Otherwise it will be Gilberto, or Justin Hoyte at centre-half. Overall we are very, very short and it is down to the bare bones.
This is the scenario that Arsenal critics have been hinting at for all these months. Arsenal do not have the depth of Manchester United or Chelsea and this is the reason why many thought that towards the tail-end of the season, the Gunners might struggle when injuries and fatigue creep in through the door.
