There appears to be a large difference of opinion between Chelsea captain John Terry and his manager Avram Grant, the bone of contention? Whether or not JT will be fit to play at the weekend. Terry himself seemed very optimistic about his chances saying:
“I did a full training session with the reserves and two light ones the two previous days with the first team.
“I joined in a little bit with the reserves and I’ve had no reaction so far so I’m very pleased.
“I’m probably a week to 10 days away. If I can get a good week’s training under my belt maybe the weekend is a small possibility.”
Gaffer Avram Grant offered a very different opinion on the matter, saying:
“I’m surprised he didn’t say he’d be back in two days.
“He’ll do everything to be fit as soon as possible but I think he will be out for another three weeks.
“The Carling Cup final will be too soon for him.”
Whatever the case, the fact that Terry is on the verge of coming back from injury will surely come as brilliant news to Chelsea.
