Chelsea are more likely than not to lose their striker Didier Drogba at the end of the season and with every passing day, it appears more and more probable that the Camp Nou cathedral becomes his new home. FC Barcelona midfielder and Drogba’s Ivory Coast international team mate Yaya Toure says that the two players spoke to each other about a possible Barca move for Drogba and the former Marseille star is all eager to don on the Barca colours.
Of course, we talked about Barcelona. Didier Drogba is a very important player in my country, but he costs a lot of money. He would really like to play for Barca because we have a great team and have great players. Drogba told me that he would like to come and play with me, but he knows that it is complicated as Eto’o, Henry and Messi are already there.
Now this makes it certain that Drogba is eager on a move away from Stamford Bridge. Even a schoolkid can now realise that Drogba wanted Toure to expose his eagerness to join the Catalan giants and more importantly to convince Chelsea that his heart is no longer in London.
