Chimbonda fined by Spurs for Carling Cup fiasco

The Mirror reports that Tottenham Hotspur have fined Pascal Chimbonda for his Carling Cup final antics. When substituted by Spurs manager Juande Ramos on the hour-mark when Spurs were 1-0 down to Chelsea, Chimbonda tunnelled to the dressing room without even acknowledging the manager or his replacement Tom Huddlestone.

The player has now been fined two weeks’ wages for his unprofessional behaviour and would possibly lose his place for Spurs’ next game against Birmingham City in the English Premier League this weekend. He is already said to be one shoe out of White Hart Lane and maybe this incident would shove him further out of the door.
