Manchester City might still be in the running for qualifying in the top four of the Premiership this season but their recent wretched form has cast their credentials into a huge pot of doubt. They were beaten 2-0 by Everton at the City of Manchester Stadium on Monday night and doubts on whether they can recovered have seared to the surface.
But City skipper Richard Dunne insists that his team can recover and rediscover their old touch and rally back from Monday’s disappointment. Dunne says:
We’re still in with a shout. There are a lot of big games to go for the four or five teams chasing a place in Europe. There are plenty of twists and turns to come.
Man City are just 6 points off a UEFA Champions League place but they do have the likes of Everton, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Portsmouth to battle it out with as the season develops. At the moment anything is possible but Sven-Goran Eriksson needs to restore the old spirit into the team.
