Arsenal’s Eduardo out of hospital

Arsenal have confirmed that their Croatian international striker Eduardo da Silva has been released from hospital. He had been in a London hospital for four days after breaking his leg and dislocating ankle during the Gunners’ 2-2 draw with Birmingham City in the Premiership last weekend and has now been allowed to go home.

A club statement reads:

The club can confirm that Eduardo has now been released from hospital, where he had been since sustaining his injury against Birmingham City.

Eduardo would like to once again thank everyone for the overwhelming messages of support he has received.

That lad would have played in the Euro 2008 finals in the summer too and indeed he wouldn’t be too happy at home, watching matches on the telly. Yet all we can do at the moment is wish him a quick recovery.
