Arsenal keeper expecting Cesc to eclipse Kaka

It’s been a quiet couple of months for Cesc Fabregas, who has suffered something of a loss in form. That was until Tuesday night, when the young Spaniard rose to the occasion and, along with Flamini and Diaby, bossed the midfield area against Milan. The Guardian report that Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia expects the 20-year-old to continue improving and eventually become the best player in the world, surpassing Brazilian playmaker Kaka.

“Age doesn’t matter when a player has the talent Cesc has,” said the Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia. “He plays like a veteran. He will become a legend at Arsenal and has the capacity, skill and quality to be as good as Kaka, winning titles and becoming a great player.”

Some might argue that Fabregas and Kaka are slightly different players, whereby the latter plays in a more advanced position for bis club and country, whereas the young Gunners is more of a box-to-box player and less likely to run at defenders. Nevertheless, he showed an eye for goal on Tuesday night which helped his team through – even if he was guilty of missing a chance in the first-half.
