Newcastle manager looking to dent Liverpool run

Whatever you might think of Kevin Keegan, the Newcastle manager is definitely a glass-half-full kind of guy. His team might be a complete pile of pants, yet he’s well up for the fight at Anfield tomorrow, maybe we’ll get another 4-3? Perhaps not, considering the Magpies have trouble scoring one goal per game at the moment, although the fantastic Shields Gazette reports King Kev is refusing to get downhearted.

Keegan said: “If you go to Anfield expecting to get nothing, that’s exactly what you’ll get.

“That’s why we’ll roll up there tomorrow expecting to come home with something, and we’re going to have a go and make sure we give them a good game.

“And don’t forget we’re going there after we all thought was a very encouraging performance, if not result, against Blackburn Rovers last Saturday.

“Yes, Liverpool has a strong squad, but when haven’t they?”

Will Saturday be the day where Newcastle finally land their first win under KK or is Torres currently planning how to score his third consecutive hat-trick in front of the Kop? One with the head, one with right foot and one with left peg would be the proper way to do things although the Spaniard’s not really that fussy.
