Sir Alex blasts FA over Wembley controversy

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson cannot help expressing his criticism of the English FA. This time the veteran Man United manager has blasted the FA for playing the semi-finals of this year’s FA Cup at Wembley instead of the traditional grounds of Aston Villa and Old Trafford.

Sir Alex says:

Having the semis at Wembley takes a bit of the real buzz from getting to the final, I think. The incentive for every footballer is that one day they can get to a final at Wembley.

Hm…. Sir Alex does have a valid point there but then again the semi-finals at Wembley would certainly allow lesser teams to exercise their dreams of playing at Wembley. After all, only two teams contest the final whereas four teams, one of them often a surprise package, contest the semis.
