Inter coach confident of dramatic comeback

The Sun quotes Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini as saying that Inter can definitely make a miraculous comeback against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.

Inter host Liverpool at the San Siro on Tuesday night in the second leg of their last 16 tie with Liverpool taking a very healthy 2-0 lead from the first leg. But Mancini says that all is not over yet:

We need three goals to qualify in 90 minutes and this side is capable of it.

Liverpool did not create much in the first leg. But they kept us under pressure and, unfortunately, the last five minutes proved decisive.

Yet I still think we can do it. Any result is possible.

But maybe Mancini doesn’t realise that should Liverpool score one at the San Siro, then Inter Milan would have to score four times. That is something that cannot be accomplished easily against an in-form Reds side.
