Arsenal midfielder: ‘We can’t drop any more points’

At least they’re playing Middlesbrough this weekend! That should at least help them get back on track in their quest for Premier League glory. However, the Daily Mail reports that Mathieu Flamini is all-too aware that Arsenal can’t afford to drop any more points if they are to wrest the crown from Manchester United and keep Chelsea at bay.

“Now we cannot concede any more points” said the Frenchman. “We have to win all the time, especially when you are in the title race. We have to work harder, to concentrate more and I’m sure everything will be okay.

“I think it’s not very good to think too much about the last game. Just try to learn from what happened before. We have to look forward, see what was wrong before and learn and keep going.”

The Gunners have been wobbling badly of late, drawing their past three matches against Villa, Birmingham and Wigan – hardly the stuff of champions! Can they realistically land the title, especially with trips to Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford remaining? They haven’t been helped by another difficult Champions League draw, this time against Liverpool.
