Mark “The Saviour of Liverpool” Clattenburg is named Chelsea – Arsenal ref – anyone happy about this?

The Daily Mail gleefully reports that Mark Clattenburg, the ref who so royally fluffed up the Merseyside derby (and was accused by David Moyes of having a soft spot for Liverpool after going on pre-season tour with the Anfield club) will be given the honour of refereeing one half of the glorious blunderbuss of hype that is Grand Slam Sunday – Chelsea vs Arsenal. The Daily Mail lists a couple of prickly events in recent Chelsea Arsenal games, pointing out that in December, John Terry was crocked for a massive 14 games after a nasty tackle from Emmanuel Eboue, and that came only minutes after JT had hit Cesc Fabregas with a late tackle. And who could forget last years’ Carling Cup finale and the rumpus that got Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor of Arsenal and Chelsea’s John Mikel Obi sent off?
Poor “Clatts” – as he’s known to Rafa – will face a rough ride on Sunday!
