Spurs striker hopes for the best but will he just say sod it and leave?

You have got to feel sorry for Darren Bent, it’s not his fault that the price tag placed on his head looks a little inflated and to be fair he has been ok in a Spurs shirt but it doesn’t seem likely that he will ever get a decent run in the first team and is more likely to get the occasional sub run out and Carling Cup action, naturally the former Charlton man isn’t that happy about it

“You obviously want to play more minutes on the pitch, but it is not happening,” Bent said. “I will keep plugging away. I will keep training and working hard and hopefully things will turn around.” (various)

Six goals in 13 starts isn’t bad, and Tottenham haven’t lost a game he has scored in. However he isn’t going to break the Robbie and Dimitar show any time soon and it seems that even if one of those front men did leave then Ramos will more than likely bring in his own choice of front man. Either way as hard as the 24 year old might try to break into the starting line up I simply don’t see it happening and if he wants to breath life into his career then a move away from WHL is inevitable.
