33-year old Blackburn defender, and former Anfield acolyte, Stephane Henchoz, reckons that Liverpool are, well, rather crap actually – at least when challenging for the Premier League.
Henchoz was quite sniffy about Rafa’s continuous shuffling of the deck too saying:
“The rotation system sometimes in the league was not the best.
“They drew too many times and if they kept their best XI, they would have won a few more games.
“If (Steven) Gerrard and (Fernando) Torres are not playing at their best, you hardly see where the goals are coming from.
“They probably need two or three very good players if they want to compete.”
Henchoz’ criticisms are basically the ones thrown at Rafa by legions of armchair fans in concert with the gutter press – are they all the more valid now that an ex-Liverpool player is chiming in with his tuppence worth?
