After spending several months in the footballing wilderness, it appears as though Jose Mourinho could return to management. Many of you will remember that upon leaving Chelsea, the Portuguese loudmouth talked about taking up a high-profile role in Spain or Italy, and it appears the latter is on the cards after his agent confirmed that talks with Inter had taken place. Once again this season, the Italian champions have failed to replicate their domestic form in Europe and the Daily Mail report that the ex-Blues manager could be installed to change this.
JM’s personal advisor Eladio Parames said: “Of course, it was Inter who contacted Mourinho and his agent, not Mourinho contacting them.
“He [Mourinho] always showed interest in working in Italy, and he received the contact with pleasure.”
There’s a big question mark over the future of current Inter coach Roberto Mancini, who announced he was going to leave the club, only to renege on this shortly afterwards. It’s clear that Mourinho is happy to bide his time until a big European club approach him, could Inter be the chosen one for the self-proclaimed special one?
