Arsenal came back from 2-0 down with ten men to win 3-2 yesterday, somehow managing to turn this game around and win all three precious points. Arsene Wenger said of the win:
‘I can’t remember a better comeback, being 2-0 down and with ten men.
‘Everything went against us, but we kept going.’
So where exactly does Arsenal’s glorious comeback rank in the all time list? A grotty Saturday afternoon in Lancashire is surely the last place that Arsene’s troops wanted to go to – and Arsenal have been in truly dire form whilst Bolton were fighting for their lives; at 2-0 down most people wouldn’t have given them a chance – will this comeback now signal a change in form?
