Surely Gilberto can do a job for someone in the top half of the Premier League? He has only seen less of the Arsenal action due to the emergence of Mathieu Flamini this season. Sure he has been patchy when he has seen action but that is probably more to do with being rusty than a sudden loss of form. By all accounts the Brazilian wants to stay on in England once he inevitably leaves the Gunners

Spurs and Liverpool are just examples but surely the 31 year old can still cut it in the Premier League. The midfielder can be tireless and effective and could represent real value given the paltry fee Arsene would take for a player who has served the club well, after all Wenger wouldn’t want to hinder Gilberto’s progress by asking for a significant fee.
