Arsenal’s Nicklas Bendtner: Bad player or Bad performance?

Okay so he was slightly unfortunate for being directly in the way of a goal bound effort last night but this is just the latest bout of crapness from Arsenal’s ‘not so’ Great Dane.

Everything about him screams awkwardness, not too hot on the ground and surprisingly not too good in the air either. By no means a really bad player but simply not good enough to cut it at the Emirates.

Yes there is an argument for giving the 20 year old more time to find his feet but at what cost will this ‘giving time’ affect Arsenal’s hopes for silverware? Clearly hampered by injuries Arsene has been forced to rely on Nicklas as super sub or on occasion first team starter, I think it is clear to see that if RVP wasn’t out for so long or Eduardo hadn’t been mauled by the Martin Taylor then Bendtner may have been consigned to Carling Cup and FA Cup duty only.

Whether you think I am wrong or not It is best to consider, if you are an Arsenal fan, is the guy good enough for a first team place, and you may say “not right now”. Then I would ask does he look to you like a player who looks like he will ever be good enough for a side hoping for the highest level of achievement? Surely the answer is no!

But we want to hear from you, is the lad a crap player or was it just a crap performance?
