I think you can split Arsenal fans into two more or less equal camps when talking of the merits of Spanish (should that be English?) keeper Manuel Almunia. I think that many believe he is a good keeper but may not consider him good enough to be first choice. Arsene Wenger has reportedly taken a shine to a potential replacement.
Arsenal and Aston Villa are in a tug-of-war for American keeper Brad Guzan, 23. (The Sun)
It seems that one position American footballers could consider themselves to have mastered would be in goal. Brad Friedel, Tim Howard and Kasey Keller are all pretty solid, could Guzman follow suit?
Guzman is not a player Gunners fans would instantly recognise and not a name that immediately attracts attention, however that is what Arsene Wenger does so well, he forms whole teams from names that were never big ones until he honed them and made them shine.
