Spurs need a keeper. That seems to be agreed by all and sundry at White Hart Lane, so this guy has to be the best available – and he would be cheap.
Carlo Cudicini has informed Chelsea he intends to leave at the end of the season (The Sun) and a host of clubs are forming a queue including Spurs, Aston Villa and Manchester City
The keeper could be available for as little as £3m as he is out of contract in the summer of 2009.
A source close to Cudicini said: “There will be another meeting with Chelsea to decide what is best for the club and Carlo.”
Now I know that Spurs and Chelsea don’t get on, but let’s face it, it’s criminal that a keeper of Cudicini’s ability is essentially wasted and even Blues fans must see this. Spurs can offer him a good home (he doesn’t have to move house) and Juande Ramos gets a proven keeper who still has a few years in him. What do the fans think?
