It’s fair to say that people in England don’t think much of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish striker may well have been the star player for Inter this season, scoring hatfuls of goals and ensuring his team land a second successive Serie A title. However, seeing is believing and in the games against Liverpool this season, the forward flattered to deceive, albeit as part of a 10-man team on both occasions.
Nevertheless, we could be on the verge of discovering what all the fuss is about. Eurosport reports that Ibrahimovic is none too impressed by the standard of Serie A, compared to England and Spain. Will he follow in the footsteps of Henrik Larsson and Fredrik Ljungberg by jetting across to play in the Premier League?
“They have better technique and more finesse both in Spain and in England and you never know what will happen in the future”, he told Swedish television station SVT.
If Zlatan was to come to England, Chelsea would clearly be in the running, especially with Didier Drogba looking set to fly the nest in the summer. Would Manchester United also look to bolster their front line with this highly-rated, yet temperamental player.
