Tottenham’s £21m target just got cheaper: Still not worth it!

It seems Damien Comolli has been chasing this striker for decades! I failed to see what the fuss was about when his name was first mentioned, but at least his club’s crazy valuation seems to have been adjusted, but still not a signing that makes any sense for Tottenham!

Toulouse have re-adjusted and lowered their original £21m asking price for Bolton and Tottenham target Johan Elmander, who’s contract runs out in the summer of 2009. (Various)

The 26-year-old lanky Swedish striker may well be on show at Euro 2008, but even so, the figures bandied about for the former-Brondby man just seem to have no basis in reality. The French club clearly has to reconsider its valuation after they slipped to finishing two points from relegation this season. It really does seem that the Elmander is more suited to Gary Megson’s side both in terms of playing style and the size and ambitions of Bolton. Do any Spurs fans think that the Swede is worthy of a place at WHL?
