Former Rovers hero and current tepid pundit Alan Shearer is edging closer to the Ewood Park hotseat and, according to Blackburn stalwart Tony Parkes, he could do a good job – he could even be the next Kenny Dalglish!
“I think Alan will be a good manager.
“When Kenny was manager, he did hardly any coaching. Most of it would be down to Ray Harford. Alan could do the same [with] an experienced No 2. When Alan was at Rovers he had a very old and wise head on young shoulders and he was a leader of men.” (Telegraph)
The rumours swirled around Shearer after Allardyce was sacked at Newcastle but nothing came of that, would Rovers fans welcome him at Ewood Park?
