The Daily Telegraph has had a good rummage through Liverpool’s annual accounts and noticed something rather strange. Liverpool’s co-owner Tom Hicks has been asking for some money back from his own club, journo Jim White writes that Hicks claimed:
“£198,000 in legal, travel and other expenses. Travel expenses? Last time I checked, rather than expecting the club to pick up the tab, ordinary fans generally pay their own way to the match.” (Telegraph)
Liverpool fans, for someone who is desperate to portray himself as a fellow fan, is the American starting to look a tad foolish?
