Arsenal and Newcastle have been informed that the valuation for Arda Turan has increased following his outstanding recent performances for Turkey.

Many have likened the 21 year old to Arsenal legend Robert Pires and Arda Turan has looked very good during Euro 2008. However, if the Turkish champions insist on valuing the attacking midfielder in that bracket, it seems very likely it will scare off both Arsene Wenger and Kevin Keegan. With the probable departure of Hleb, a move for Arda makes sense and Newcastle could also do with more creativity in their midfield, but will either club really bid that high for a relative newcomer?
