Everton boss has a sniff around this quality attacking talent

The Sun reports that David Moyes will make a bid for an exciting midfielder, but he’ll have to overcome a number of obstacles first.
Apparently Moyes is after Argentinian Pablo Aimar, but before he tries to bag the 28-year-old, there are the little matters of the manager’s unsigned contract and the hammering out of his transfer budget. Despite these obstacles, and the fact that Aimar has been hawking himself to any solvent English club who’ll have him, The Sun still try and make this sound like breaking news, which is a bit like calling Teddy Sheringham a young whelp.

DAVID MOYES may swoop for Argentine star Pablo Aimar — once his summer spending budget is finally confirmed.

The Everton chief, whose own contract is still to be signed, is desperate to add new faces to one of the smallest squads in the top flight.

There is no doubt that Aimar would be a quality signing for Everton, but isn’t linking the desperate player with the club desperate for midfield reinforcements a bit too simple?
