Newcastle boss Kevin Keegan has been linked with a number of top talents this summer; however, almost every player on his wish list has all but disappeared from the news after being linked the Tyneside club. This time around, that doesn’t appear to be the case, as Keegan looks keen to finally land his man for the upcoming season.

Now that’s more like it, King Kev! With a number of other clubs chasing Aimar, it appears that Newcastle will finally get something for their efforts. With Charles N’Zogbia possibly moving this summer, Aimar will surely be called on early and often to open things up on the wing; and for a fee of only £7m, it looks like Newcastle won’t have to overspend to get their man.
What do Newcastle supporters think about spending £7m on Aimar? Do you think he’s the type of player that will fit in with the current Newcastle system?
