After skipping out on a pre-season friendly just yesterday, Everton striker Andy Johnson looks like he might finally get his wish with a move back to London. Everton boss David Moyes was said to be furious at his striker for pushing his team-mates aside for personal goals, and because of it, he’s finally ready to let the striker leave. The good news for supporters is that the £10.5m the club is reported to be getting from Fulham will be put to good use by going after a certain £20m-rated striker!
But Moyes is already planning to spend the money from the Johnson sale on £20m-rated CSKA striker Vagner Love. (The Sun)
Well that would be a bit of an upgrade from Johnson! It almost seems like a foregone conclusion that Johnson will leave this summer. With that in mind, Love would be a wonderful addition to pair with Yakubu. After showing what he could with with former striker partner Jo at CSKA last season, one would believe that the two would make a fantastic duo up front. Love has made it known for some time that he was ready for a change. The only question remaining is if Everton will be willing to spend £20m for a top transfer target?
What do Everton supporters think about making a £20m move for Love? Do you think he could make an instant impact at the club this season?
