Juande Ramos has apparently launched a raid for a very promising Brazilian international.
Tottenham have launched a major bid for Fluminense star Thiago Neves.
The 23 year-old is seeking a move to Europe and has been courted by several clubs, including Palermo.
Sport Italia says Spurs are prepared to offer £9 million for Thiago. (tribalfootball.com)
Neves is an accomplished attacking midfielder, and scores goal by the bucketload, but it seems he is needed primarily to help on the left wing. Ramos is obviously very keen on Diego Capel to fulfil that role and, whilst the Spaniard may be a better option, that deal seems to have been doing the rounds for months without getting any nearer to completion.
There is obviously always a slight danger in signing a player from South America who has no European experience, but Neves could well be a hit in the Premier League. Do Tottenham fans think JR should continue to track Capel, even though it seems like it may be a deal doomed to failure?
