It appears that the Arsene Wenger is looking to beat a host of clubs, including Manchester United, to this international midfielder.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to bid big to land Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Veloso.
Portuguese sources stated last week that Wenger was preparing a concrete move for the versatile midfielder.
And the Daily Star Sunday says Wenger intends to offer £14 million to convince Sporting to part with Veloso. (tribalfootball.com)
Arsenal have entered the race to sign Miguel Veloso from Sporting Lisbon according to his agent. Manchester United, AC Milan and Juventus have also been linked with the midfielder. (Yorkshire Post)
It seems that according to these sources, Arsene Wenger is very keen indeed to replace Mathieu Flamini. Many players have been mentioned with a move to north London to fill the Frenchman’s role, including the likes of Michael Johnson who would be the ideal candidate to fill this role. It seems highly unlikely that Arsenal would bid so much for the Portuguese international who is good, but not that good. There are also potential replacements for Flamini in the current squad that could make any such move redundant. Who would Gunners fans like to see filling Mathieu’s boots?
