Tottenham are apparently keen on piping Sunderland to this Manchester United defender!
Juande Ramos may look to add a Manchester United Football Club star to his White Hart Lane squad.
With the new season less than two weeks away the Tottenham Hotspur boss is looking to finalise his squad for a campaign in which he hopes to see his side challenge for a top-six place.
The latest player being linked with a move to the Carling Cup winners is United youngster Jonny Evans, who has impressed during two loan spells at Sunderland.
Roy Keane would love to take the defender on a permanent deal, but if Sir Alex Ferguson decides to sell, the Black Cats could face stiff competition from Spurs for the £6million-rated youngster. (fansfc.com)
Whilst Woody and King are clearly Spurs main pairing, and a damn good duo at that, Ramos needs more in the way of centre backs. Michael Dawson is a decent, but by no means good alternative; this 20 year old Irishman could be a clever signing who would be one for the future. He has proved he can cut it in the Premier League and if Sir Alex is willing to offload the youngster then a move by Ramos for the international would represent a good use of funds. Do Tottenham fans think that Evans would be a good addition to the White Hart Lane squad?
