West Ham manager Alan Curbishley is looking at former Tottenham, Charlton, Wimbledon and Millwall left-back Ben Thatcher.
The 32-year-old was expected to join Ipswich after impressing during a trial but has yet to agree terms.
Thatcher was given a run-out in the Hammers’ 2-0 win over Bishop’s Stortford on Tuesday night.(Mail Online)

Everyone remembers that sickening challenge by Ben Thatcher on Pedro Mendes, but it’s worth also remembering that the full back was a pretty solid customer in his pomp. Pretty effective going forward and stout in the tackle when on the back foot, it would be a brave move by the Hammers boss to take a shot on the Welsh international who is clearly getting on a bit. A move to Upton Park would incredibly be the 32 year old’s fifth London club he has signed for but there are many West Ham fans who would rather not see the former Millwall man at the club. What do Hammers fans think about this potential new addition?
