Rafa Benitez continues to add more young talents to his Liverpool squad for the future!
Liverpool are reportedly about to raid Barcelona for yet another Spanish Youth international, according to the Barcelona-based paper Sport.
The target in question is an exciting young winger, Iago Falqué, who reportedly rebuffed a move by Chelsea last season, saying that he wanted to take his chances at the Catalan club.
But now the 17 year-old has been told that he does not figure in Luis Enriwue’s plans for next season, which has alerted Liverpool, amongst others.
“Falqué said: “I still don’t know anything or what is going to happen with my future. I hope that by next week I’ll have some news.”
Given Benitez’s penchant for bringing promising young Spaniards to Merseyside, there is every chance that Falque could be on Liverpool’s books next season. (footylatest.com)
There is definitely a sense that the Anfield supremo has put extra effort into beefing up the quota of youthful talent at the club. He has probably realised that in today’s market with transfer fees spiraling out of control, that it’s far wiser to get the players when they are young and bring them through the club’s academy, youth and reserve structure.
There are a great many top-quality kids beginning to get themselves nearer to the first team picture, with the likes of Nemeth, Pacheco, Darby, Spearing and a wealth of others really beginning to blossom. Do Liverpool fans think that Rafa is beginning to bring the dream of an elusive title a step nearer?
