Apparently Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is nearing the capture of this prolific South American striker who could ease the club’s early-season jitters!
The Mirror are reporting that Juande Ramos has made a £7million bid for 22-year-old Colombian international Radamel Falcao.
Ramos sold Robbie Keane to Liverpool earlier in the summer for £20million and is yet to find a suitable replacement. Andrei Arshavin has often been linked with the north London club, but Spurs have failed to meet Zenit’s valuation of the striker.
Falcao is a pacey forward, a natural finisher, and can score with both feet. Ramos may be keen to thrash out a deal quickly considering Dimitar Berbatov has been dropped by the Spanish manager, leaving only Darren Bent to lead the line. (goal.com)
Spurs are considering making a €15m (£12m) bid for the prolific Colombian striker Falcao as they desperately attempt to improve their attacking options. (Independent)
Falcao is a name that has been on the lips of Spurs fans for a month or two now and apparently a transfer is nearer to becoming a reality after moves for Arshavin and Pavlyuchenko fell through. The River Plate man has been in fine form for the Argentinean giants over the past two seasons and now it appears that a move could be sealed – although there seems to be some confusion as to the value of the youngster which varies from £7m-£12m. Do Spurs fans think that Ramos should opt for experience over youth when it comes to bringing a new striker to White Hart Lane?
