Speculation is growing about the possible return of an Anfield legend. Many people have been discussing the growing possibility that Rafa may be turning to a certain Newcastle player who is yet to agree a new contract!
There is a lot of chat floating around about the future of Michael Owen, with several of you saying he could be on his way back to Liverpool. (BBC Sport)
“My mate Phil is a cabbie in Liverpool city centre and a season ticket holder at Anfield. He has it on very strong word that Rafa Benitez will sign a cut-price Michael Owen as cover for the injured Fernando Torres. Welcome back to the prodigal son.”

With Michael Owen stalling on a new contract, the Reds stuttering in front of goal and with Torres injured, would a move for Owen be so far-fetched? Apparently the 28-year-old would be available for as little as £3m and, whilst his wage demands would be high, he probably has a few more years in him and could be a potential bargain that could help the club get back into gear in attack.
So Liverpool fans, how would you feel about this potential signing? Do you think Rafa has been considering a bid?
