As the days tick down to the January transfer window speculation will become hysterical involving the top premiership clubs and Arsenal as much as anyone will be the centre of attention.

Our Spanish correspondent actively scours the internet, listens to the radio and reads the Spanish papers to identify any story worthy for us to publish and according to Spanish Radio we have one that may well be closer to reality than we realise.
Barcelona it has been reported are prepared to offer Arsenal as much as €60 million for Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott, their interest in Adebayor seems to have gone for the time being.

The chances of Arsenal allowing these two players to go must be unlikely, however Barcelona have made it clear many times that Cesc Fabregas is on their list of targets and the player himself has indicated that he would consider a move to Barcelona, that is not a surprise, the Walcott link is though. Now as I said, this link was not made by me and I am merely reporting the story, but I think Arsenal fans can relax as there is surely no way Arsene would even consider this! In many ways, it’s to be expected, a team that produces and harnesses so many great young talents is going to be the subject of a lot of interest.

Theo Walcott has been astounding of late, and is proving any doubters very wrong indeed. Fabregas is of course a magical midfielder, who has been subject to much speculation of late, (apparently interest from Italy as well as Spain) but he has stated himself he is happy at the club and I think that is the crucial thing to remember. Do Gunners fans think that either player would even consider leaving the club?
