This Manchester United man will surely not stand much more of bench warming so would a move to Anfield be something Liverpool fans would be happy to consider?
The Argentina international has become a crowd favourite at Old Trafford since joining the Premier League champions from West Ham United, and he played an influential role in the side securing the domestic league title as well as Champions League glory.
However, the arrival of Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, the red-hot form of Wayne Rooney and the return to fitness of Cristiano Ronaldo has seen Tevez fall down the pecking order.
Thus, reports over the last few weeks have purported that the 24-year old would seek a move away from The Red Devils when the transfer window re-opens in January. (goal.com)
Now I hasten to add I am only asking a hypothetical question and am in no way suggesting that such a move is imminent or even part of Rafa’s plans, however I am merely stating that the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid have been linked with a move for the impressive Argentine striker and would feel that if there was a striker who could be a good signing for Liverpool then Tevez could well be that person. He wouldn’t be cheap but he is well worth the £25-30m price-tag and maybe he could work well alongside Torres and even as part of a front three. One thing is for sure, if the former West Ham man finds himself consigned to the bench for the rest of the season he will surely not be happy and therefore it stands to reason United would not seek to sign him permanently and then the whole transfer merry-go-round is set off! So all I am asking is if the option ever did become available for the club to buy Carlos would Liverpool fans be okay with that?
