According to this source, Harry Redknapp is looking to make a move for an England international who really doesn’t get enough first-team action and never seems to get the credit he deserves.

New Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is eyeing Chelsea left-back Wayne Bridge.
The Sun says Redknapp isn’t convinced by Gareth Bale and hopes for a reunion with his former Southampton fullback Bridge.
Manchester City are also chasing Bridge.(

The 28-year-old Chelsea man has only started 72 Premier League games for Chelsea in his five and half years at the club, having found himself having to fight for a first-team berth first against Del Horno and now Ashley Cole. Therefore, I imagine that if Harry did come in for the former Southampton man, then he would jump at the chance.

However, I don’t think this source quite has it right. I think it may be that such a move wouldn’t mean Bale would be left out of the reckoning, more likely he would be pushed forward to playing in front of Bridge. Do Spurs fans think that this acquisition would be a clever one?
