Guess which Spurs player ‘feels like Superman’ after 4-4 draw with Arsenal?!

Alan Partridge once declared ‘I’m Batman’ after a middle-aged divorcee admitted that she found him attractive, and now one of the Tottenham players has uttered something similar after a night which will be remembered for years to come. While Arsenal fans won’t agree, this was one of the most entertaining football matches ever played in the Premier League, and there’s one man for whom the result took on an added resonance.

The Daily Mail report that David Bentley was flying without wings after Tottenham’s late late comeback at the Emirates on Wednesday night. The former Gunner was roundly booed throughout the evening, although he silenced his critics with a 40-yard wonder strike and delivered a pretty competent display that might leave Juande Ramos scratching his head.

David Bentley scored a stunning 40-yard goal for Tottenham in a stunning derby draw at his old club Arsenal and then declared: ‘I feel like Superman, I could fly home.’

The Tottenham winger made a point of pointing to the badge on his shirt every time he got a barrage of abuse from Arsenal supporters, and it’s clear that Bentley had the last laugh and that his wonder goal actually counted for something in the end. Would Arsenal fans like to see him back in the red-and-white of their club after such a neat performance?
