Lescott had one hell of a season last term, proving to be a model of consistency and a goalscoring source for the club. However things haven’t started so brightly for the former Wolves man this time around but I still don’t see him feeling any real reason to leave Goodison Park and certainly not for a move downwards to the Stadium of Light. With no disrespect to the Black Cats I don’t see why Joleon would be interested in this move a quick glance of the table shows the Toffees ahead of Sunderland and that’s even with Moyes side faltering. The 25 year old adaptable defender has proved to be a bargain since he moved to Merseyside for an original outlay of just £2m and he is now surely one of the first names on the team sheet and given that he is now a regular member of Capello’s international set up I don’t see any chance he will be leaving. Who do Everton fans want to see the club invest in come the January transfer window?
