According to this source, Mark Hughes will once again bid big, this time for one of the hottest prospects on the planet!
Manchester City will smash their own Premier League transfer record with a stunning £35million bid for Argentinian wonderkid Sergio Aguero.
Just weeks after splashing out £32m for Robinho, City will spend even bigger in January to land the 20-year-old Atletico Madrid striker and signal their intent to Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
City are already in talks with the Spanish club for the youngster the News of the World claim, who many of Europe’s top coaches rate more highly than Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
It looks certain Mark Hughes will land the player in the January transfer window and thus sicken Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho.
The Italians were turned down when they offered £25m in the summer but City are now big favourites to land FIFA’s Young Player of the year in 2007. (Lancashire Evening Post)
20-year-old Sergio Aguero, or “Kun” as he is known in his native Argentina, is an awesome prospect who has made a big impact at Atletico Madrid in the last two years and now it appears the striker is looking to make the step up to the Premier League. It’s no surprise that moneybags City are favourites to snare the youngster. 20 goals last term helped Madrid’s ‘other’ side into a Champions League spot, and this term he is in amongst the goals once more, but he will know that his current club will probably not be able to match his ambitions. A move is definitely on the cards and, if City manage to make the purchase, it will be one of the biggest in the clubs history. Do Eastland supporters think that the club can challenge for the Premier League crown and, if so, when could this dream become a reality?
