Harry has had enough, and is looking for a quick fix to an issue that seems to get worse by the day!
Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster is a January target for Tottenham.
The Mail on Sunday says Harry Redknapp hopes his long-standing friendship with Sir Alex Ferguson might see Ben Foster arrive in January to solve the Tottenham goalkeeping crisis.
Redknapp is keen to set aside any lingering acrimony over Dimitar Berbatov’s deadline day move to Manchester United from White Hart Lane so Foster could come in on loan and put Heurelho Gomes out of his misery. (tribalfootball.com)
This could be a good move for all concerned. Ben Foster is currently third-choice at Old Trafford and, whilst Sir Alex can appreciate the young lad’s ability, he isn’t going to risk the player in a game of importance unless he absolutely has to. Spurs are a club on the up, and a move on loan to north London would be a good way to keep the kid on the Capello radar. Heurelho has gone from bad to worse in recent weeks, and his confidence is shot to pieces. Maybe a break would do him good.
He isn’t a bad keeper, in fact as far as shot-stopping is concerned he has excelled, but patrolling his penalty area at corners and set-plays is problematic for the Brazilian at best and calamitous at worst. Who do Spurs fans think the club should bring in to resolve this very big problem!
