This source, and not me, is suggesting that Arsene Wenger is lining up a bid for this Serie A hotshot!
Arsenal will now surely have to go in to the transfer market this winter now that Theo Walcott is out for the foreseeable future and according to Italian radio they have lined up a £10 million bid for Inter star
Adriano showed last night that he still has the touch in front of goal with a beautifully timed header to score the sixth goal against Portugal.
He only played for the last 10 minutes or so but considering he has not played recently after falling out with Jose Mourinho at Inter it was still a good performance albeit only a fleeting one.
Adriano can be got for £10 million and he is almost certain to be shoved out the door in January with only Real Madrid and of course Man City the only real competitors for his signature. (footylatest.com)
Ok, so the chances of this happening are probably about zero, mainly because the Brazilian does suffer from horrible bouts of poor form and also because Wenger is probably more in need of a support striker or another squad man and not a big name, after all with Eduardo nearing fitness and with RVP and Adebayor they have three top class strikers and so only need able back up, i.e. not Bendtner! The 26 year old Inter man may well be on his way from the San Siro but given Man City’s flock of fellow countrymen it seems more likely the Eastlands outfit would need his services. Are Gunners fans happy with their current strikeforce or do they need more options in attack?
