Hot on the heels of the north London club being linked with Ronaldo and Beckham, comes another legend of the game reportedly being targeted by the White Hart Lane outfit!
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club are weighing up a cheeky move for Clarence Seedorf.
The Dutch midfielder, who has won the UEFA Champions League with Ajax, Real Madrid and twice with AC Milan, has revealed he would love to play in England before hanging up his boots.
“I would love to play in the Premier League,” said the 32-year-old. “Which player wouldn’t? It’s one of the best leagues in the world. I’m happy at AC Milan but I never say never.
“The development of the Premier League over the last five years has been incredible. The football is exciting with much more quality. I love to watch it on television.”
Early reports suggest Tottenham could approach Milan at the end of the season in an attempt to lure Seedorf to White Hart Lane, in what would be a huge coup for Harry Redknapp. (fansfc.com)
This would be a very good short-term move for Spurs if they could indeed persuade the Dutch star to join them next term. No doubt many other English teams would be keen on the AC Milan star, not least because even though the veteran is nearing the end of his glittering career, he still has what it takes to play at the highest level for a couple of years. Do Tottenham fans think that Harry could win the war for the medal-collecting midfielder?
