Harry Redknapp is reportedly lining up a swoop for this England international pairing!
Tottenham are monitoring the financial situation at West Ham United.
The Mirror says Gianfranco Zola looks set to be forced into a January fire sale after West Ham were banned from contesting the Carlos Tevez case yesterday.
Zola could be pushed into selling off the likes of keeper Robert Green and midfielder Scott Parker with Tottenham interested in both players. (tribalfootball.com)
The decision to not allow West Ham to appeal against the ruling in favour of Sheffield United could well be a costly one. The club is already in big financial meltdown, as the club’s owners have been crippled by the bankruptcy of major companies in Iceland, so it’s no surprise that reports are emerging of clubs sniffing around looking for a bargain. Both Robert Green and Scott Parker have impressed this season, and the pair could be nabbed for a combined fee of around £11m, which would be a bargain in my opinion.
Many believe that Tottenham need some midfield solidity, and Parker can offer that. Everyone knows that their keeper is a liability, and Green would be an ideal replacement for the bungling Gomes. Do White Hart Lane fans like the idea of raiding their arch-rivals?
