This source suggests that a one time Tottenham target is now on the radar of another north London outfit!
Arsenal Football Club are considering a swoop for Diego Capel.
The 20-year-old winger has flirted with the ideal of a move to the Premier League in the past, with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur the most mentioned clubs.
Capel has now admitted he could be ready to make the move to England, and this has alerted Arsene Wenger who is keen to bolster his squad with more quality talent in the New Year.
Sevilla would want around £12million for the Spanish international which, given his age and his undoubted talent, would be something of a snip if the Gunners get their man. (fansfc.com)
This is an interesting one, but can it be true? Well let’s analyse this, Diego Capel almost became a Spurs player during the summer and then claimed he was going nowhere, now however he has been quoted all over the place as being up for a move abroad and more specifically to England. This has led many to believe Tottenham would be coming in for the Spanish international but wouldn’t he much prefer a move to Arsenal? 20 year old Capel may be a youngster, but unlike many of Wenger’s Emirates squad, he also has a decent grounding of high level experience under his belt and is currently into his fourth season of La Liga action. Do Gunners fans like the idea of a move for the left winger or given the arrival of Nasri in the summer is such a move not relevant or necessary?
