Rafa wisely opted to give a run out to a number of squad players last night and it paid off as his side ran out 3-1 winners in Eindhoven but who from that group really did themselves credit?
Among those who featured in a rare start were Brazilian keeper Diego Cavalieri who seemed fairly comfortable. Andrea Dossena started again after missing the Blackburn Rovers victory.
Under fire Lucas had spells of quality but missed a sitter but Ryan Babel and David Ngog impressed me and both got on the scoresheet and then of course there was Robbie Keane making a return after also missing the game at Ewood Park. Perhaps most pleasing however were the three young Englishmen, Spearing, Darby and Kelly, who came on as subs. Who impressed the Liverpool supporters the most and what do you think Rafa learned from the fixture?
